I am a 43 year old wife and mother of one.  My small family moved from the city to the countryside in New Mexico (The Land of Enchantment) in hopes of being self sufficient one day.  I have big plans for our little 5 acre plot of land!  I have come to admire those who had to homestead, when it was necessary, and hope to learn from those who have gone before.  I have always believed I was born in the wrong decade.  I love reading old house keeping books.  Women decades before us knew how to accomplish amazing things in the house and garden.  I feel we are losing this knowledge, and I wanted to make a blog of rediscovering these old ways.  I will also write about my own daily struggles of being a stay at home mother and wife.  I hope you enjoy my ramblings, and maybe learn a few things with me!
